What is Body & Brain Holistic Fitness?

Body & Brain Holistic Fitness is a holistic health and training program that empowers individuals to manage their own bodies and brains in order to become more healthy, happy and peaceful. We accomplish this through the creation of tools to foster the health and well-being of the individual, family and society as a whole.

The training emphasises the brain because it is the brain which creates and controls every aspect of human life. Health, feeling and experience, physical movement, motivation and purpose - all of these are based on brain activity. All life can be improved by better use of our brains.

I'm here to do yoga. Why should I learn about the brain?

Actually, all mind-body practices, including other forms of yoga and meditation, have an effect on the brain. The sense of peace, release of tension, and reduction of stress that these practices offer are due to their effect on the brain. Our BEST 5 programs, which are the structures of Brain Education System Training TM, differ only in that they focus on and accentuate these effects.

Learning about the brain is also the best way to move your practice out of the centre and into your life. If you only practice yoga as physical exercise, you are not really tapping into its full potential. Approaching your practice as exercise may help you relax in the moment, but wouldn’t you like to carry peace into all areas of your life? That is why we study our brain so intensely in the deeper levels of this practice. By learning to become the master of your brain, you become the master of your life.

What will I learn at a Body & Brain Holistic Fitness centre?

Regular classes include yoga-type stretching, breathing exercises, meditation, soft martial arts and energy work. For those with diverse interests, we also offer special programs, workshops, retreats and other advanced-level training opportunities.

Mission statement

Our mission at Body & Brain Holistic Fitness centres is to heal individuals and society as a whole. Our work focuses on healing a person's body and soul which then impacts all of human society and the Earth. We like to think about it as preserving the planet by healing one person at a time.

The four components of our healing  approach reflect this belief:

Individual

Healing society starts with one person. Healing just one individual has a ripple effect on society as a whole.

Family

Once an individual is healed, that person’s family is, in turn, positively affected. We help to create healthy families by healing individual family members, who then pass on the power of healing to other family members.

Society

As more and more families enjoy health, happiness and peace, it becomes easier to bridge the gap between, the current reality and the ideal – a stronger more peaceful culture.

Earth

Strong, stable families ensure the stability and strength of society, which in turn impacts the earth. A peaceful culture begins when we can identify people as Earth  Citizens, transcending ethnic, cultural and political distinctions.

We strive to actualise this vision through our centre operations, our communities, and in every aspect of our lives.
